PRESS RELEASE

SBS Courier improves expedited services
SBS Courier is set to enhance the efficiency of its client collection service by
adding to the number of sub-contractors that it uses to give wider scope for
collections and provide later cut-off times in certain locations.
SBS Courier is a specialist division of independent freight and logistics
services provider, SBS Worldwide, offering a range of courier services tailored
to meet the growing demands of the global market place.
According to James Kelly, SBS Courier General Manager, the increase in the number
of sub-contractors is logical and follows a strategic business review.
He says: “We reviewed the collection service we were offering from our clients’
premises. We found there were opportunities to improve both the service level
and service efficiencies. Key to this was providing later cut-off times in
certain areas.
“Increasing the pool of sub-contractors that we use for courier shipments,
including one company that SBS Worldwide currently uses for general freight
collections/deliveries, will enable us to both expand our collection areas and
improve efficiency.
Customers will now be able to enjoy more frequent collections thanks to the
increase. SBS Courier documentation will remain unchanged as will SBS Courier
office contacts. Rates will not be affected by this enhancement.
